So you are ready to improve yourself! Be all you can be, is a favorite saying in the Army. I often see myself as somewhat content with my life the way it is at the moment, but of course it’s hard to think of anything else when there are real issues to be discussed.
To be honest – everybody has problems. Our dreams as kids should continue to live within us, and even motivate us to be what we always wanted to be. Here are 10 questions to ask yourself right now: Prepare for self-improvement
- What do I really want?
The million dollar question. There are so many things you want to do with your life and so little time to even go about it in a day.- My advise: Find something that you are good at and focus on developing that skill. This can help get you another step towards self improvement. Diligence is the key.
- Should I really change?
In this current era, we have defining ‘self’, or at least that’s what the kids are saying to another level. Having lots of teenage nieces and nephews has taught me that there are far worse things that one could have had other than acne. So how does that fit into your lifestyle?- If history has taught us one thing, it’s that everything we once knew will come back to be the norm.
- What’s the bright side in all of this?
- With so much negativity happening around us it is hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. We can still see the little joys of life as something positive without undergoing so much scrutiny. And if instead you find a train at the end of the tunnel, take it for a ride and see what makes the world go round!
- Am I comfortable with what I’m doing?
- There’s always the easy way out and the right way of doing things when it comes to deciding what goes with which shoes, or purse, shirt and so on. It doesn’t take a genius to see yourself as someone unique, or else we’ll all be equally the same in everything we do. Just remember, variety is the spice of life. Be as interesting as you can let yourself be.
- Have I done enough for myself?
- Have you really? Or is there something more you want to do? Discontentment can be dangerous in large doses, but in small amounts you’ll be able to see and do stuff you never imagined yourself doing.
- Am I happy at where I am today?
- It’s an unfair question YES but it deserves an answer! You love being a good and loving mom or dad to your kids, then take it up a notch! Your kids will love you forever. You need to love your everyday life so you stay happy and positive!
- Am I appealing to the opposite sex or the same sex?
- So maybe I don’t have an answer to that, but that doesn’t mean I can’t try it, though. Whether you shape-up, change the way you wear your clothes or hair, or even your attitude towards people, you should always remember it will always be for your own benefit and how you present yourself is how you create your tribe.
- How much could I have?
- I suppose in this case there is no such things as having too much or too little of anything, but it’s more about how badly you really need it. I’d like to have lots of money, no denying that, but the question is that how much are you willing to work for it?
- What motivates me?
- What motivates you? This is an answer you have to seek out for yourself. There are so many things that can make everyone happy, but to choose one of the may is the hardest part. It’s not like going to restaurant and you get one serving of your favorite meal. NOPE! Try out different ways to stay motivated: vacation, kids, weight loss, pay off debt. There is no wrong answer.
- What Really Makes You Tick?
- Another million dollar question here! What really makes you tick? Always remember, that self-improvement is not just about the physical or philosophical change you have to undergo, but it’s also a mental challenge that you have to face on your own.
